Values
Relationally Reach the Lost with the Saving News of Jesus Christ
This is the core of LIVEº, it’s why we do what we do. We want to see the Kingdom of God increase through people coming to a saving faith in Christ. Living the truth of the gospel message and verbally proclaiming that same message should go hand in hand. All Kingdom work involves relating: with God, teammates, our international church family, and to those we seek to reach with the gospel. We want you to not only offer your skills and giftedness, but your entire self to the ministry. This is costly and painful yet comes with great reward and glory to God. We want to echo the apostle Paul when he said: “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” (I Thessalonians 2:8)
Prayer & Bible Study as a Lifestyle
Prayer is not just what we do before we eat or go to bed, though you can totally do both of those. Prayer is the very battle itself and not just preparation for the battle. Prayer has to be a part of our very DNA and seen as a lifestyle throughout the program.
Local Language, Culture, & an Appropriately Simpler Lifestyle
In LIVEº, we believe it’s critical to share the gospel in the heart language of the hearer whenever possible. They are experts in their culture and language and we need to convey truth of the gospel in that heart-language. Liveº team members spend time in intentional language and culture acquisition to be the sharpest tool possible in the hand of God. Having a simpler lifestyle can remove some of the barriers between ourselves and those we are seeking to share the truth of the gospel with as well as become integrated into their lives.
Living Among the People
It only makes sense that if we are committed to learning local language and culture, and to lifestyle evangelism, we need to live where we minister.
Have a Learner Attitude
Indeed, we may know something “they” don’t, and God will provide opportunities to share our knowledge of the gospel. Yet if we are serious about learning language and culture and earning the right to be heard, then we must come as students and learners rather than as experts.
Support Local Churches & Church Planting
The local church is God’s primary model for evangelism and discipleship. There are other valid, biblical forms for increasing and maturing the universal church, but we believe the local church is the most powerful and effective means for sustained numerical and spiritual growth. As a member of the ReachGlobal International Mission, LIVEº is committed to encouraging church planting and strengthening local churches in any way we can.
